I’ll be splitting the who what when and how up into at least two post! Not that its that much [im so lying] But it’d just be easier.
So! September 30th, we woke up, finished packing and headed to Giselle’s [soulmate I’m traveling with]. From there we went on our merry way to the Airport for the flight.
BEST AIRPORT TRIP EVER!
Since we’re flying Korean air, everything went fast! We got through check in and security in literally about 20 minutes flat! From there it was nothing to do but wait for the plane.
The plane was preeeetttty big [understatement] And inside it was super nice as well! I got pics of the interior

And then began to longest flight I’ve ever been on. If you know me you know I don’t do good in small spaces for long moments of time so this was torture #thestrugglewashellareal.
But at least I can say this place did try to provide things to make it better. We were given slippers, a toothbrush with toothpaste, headphones and also blankets and pillows [I failed to get pictures of this Q_Q] and then of course was what I always look forward to testing on planes. The food.
For our first meal we were given the choice between Beef, Chicken, or Bibimbap. Giselle chose the beef, pictured below which came with bread, veggies and fruit cup.
And I chose to try to bibimbap which came with soup, rice and a fruit cup.
A few hours later we were served another meal. Again beef, chicken, or pasta. For that one Giselle chose pasta which came with bread, veggies, a brownie and a salad which she despised because it had shrimp >w<
I chose the chicken [black, but hey can’t go wrong] And it came with the same sides as she had.
In my opinion this was probably the best food I’ve ever had on a plane and I couldn’t complain. It was filling, a lot and it tasted really good!! Unless you fly first class typically the food sucks major ice so this was a nice surprise for economy.
Some pics from the sky!
A few more hours passed and then we were landing!!
WELCOME TO KOREA
After we landed we went through immigration and then exchanged money since we needed cash for the hostel. After that it was just the joys of searching and finding transportation and then heading to the hostel in Seoul!
The ride from the airport was quite lovely and I managed to snap a few photos. It was about an hour from Incheon to our hostel. Had to get this one for those who know what it is OUO our bus to Honggik was meant to be right???
Lee Minho Aka The face of Korea, this lovely man is evvvverywhere I swear
This was the toll we passed through from Incheon to Seoul 😀
And then after a hellish time trying to find this place [walking through the city with two heavy bags and crowds and up hill is a nightmare, we’re so taking a taxi back to the airport >.>] After what seemed like forever we found the right place and Huzzzah we reached our hostel.
We’re currently at the Kimchee Hostel in Sinchon. I chose this location because its right in the heart of Seoul Nightlife. We’re between I think 3 universitys [Ewha, Yonsei and Honggik] There’s so many cafe’s food places and convenience stores all around the corner. And the bus and subway lines are right there too! Bikes out front. You go inside and there is hall with luggage, the atm and benches. The front desk is also there. You can check in, order food and get discounted tickets to places [but mo on that later!] Also some other cute pics If you go downstairs thats the common area with couches, kitchen and laundry area.
Hiking back upstairs takes you to the dorms. You can get private rooms or the dorm styles. We chose private and so far I love them. By the stairs on every level they have rules and information [see guys hostels are safe!] Including no outside guest and sex segregated showers [No getting Jiggy here!]
I never lived on a campus dorm but I imagine this to be what the showers and bathrooms are like.
[again no sessi fun time for you]
Go a bit farther down the hall and you find the rooms.
This is our hall, literally we’re like the only two here on this side of the floor 😀 its nice. Those are mah shoes 😀 And this is my room! pre mess]
Not huge but then again who needs a big room? Especially considering the only time we’re pretty much here is to sleep. For the price [$37 a night] its perfect!
If you’re interested in this hostel [they have other locations around the seoul Area] this is the link
The next post will be about our first day here! Stay tuned 😀
YAAAAAAAA I just cant, this is so beautiful. 37 a night is like 100$ above my rent a month HAHA but wow im so jelly i want to stay there
